Glow Up!

Worked from the top down with one strand of Alix and one strand of Soyeux mohair held together, it combines dropped shoulders with a deliberately wide, shallow neckline. A subtle textured panel follows the longer shoulder and gradually fades into the sleeve.

The back is worked flat, using German short rows to shape the shoulders. The fronts are then worked separately before being joined, creating a sweater that slips gently over the shoulders while retaining its structure.

Glow Up is also the colourway I fell in love with at La Bien Aimée’s Pop Up. The name captures that particular light and is a nod to my daughter, who made me love the expression: a gentle transformation through movement and texture.

The sample is shown in size 9 with 20 cm of positive ease, in the colourways Glow Up and Pretty In Pink.

Allow 760–1,660 metres of each yarn, depending on size: 2–3 skeins of Alix and 2–5 skeins of Soyeux mohair. Use 4.5 mm needles or the size needed to obtain gauge, and needles one size smaller for the ribbing. You will also need a tapestry needle, stitch markers and stitch holders.
