Ideally, I recommend using a changing wool for the jersey part. This shawl was designed to put precisely the variations of colors forward.

The prototype was knit with a skein of Madelinetosh Tosh Merino Light (for the main color, at the foam point), and a skein of Northbound Knitting Merino Fingering Single (for the secondary color, in jersey).
