Erwin

Erwin is a seamless, top-down sweater with set-in sleeves. The upper body features a textured knit-and-purl pattern. The back is worked first: stitches are cast on, short rows shape the shoulder slope, and the piece is worked flat to the underarms. Stitches are then picked up along the cast-on edge for the fronts. Once the neckline is joined, the fronts are worked flat to the underarms before being joined to the back so the body can be completed in the round. Sleeve stitches are picked up around each armhole; short rows shape the sleeve cap, then the sleeve is worked in the round to the cuff. Finally, stitches are picked up around the neckline for the collar.
