About Merak
For this sweater, I wanted to pair the softness of mohair with a motif that outlines the silhouette. Two cables follow the V-neck, meet, then run down side by side along the front. The fine eyelets that go with them lighten the design, while the stockinette stitch leaves all the room for the yarn.
Knitted from the top down with two strands of Bérénice by De Rerum Natura held together, Merak is worn with about 2 in ; 5 cm of ease. A soft, light sweater, designed for her and for her everyday life, with that little extra affection I slip into the stitches when I knit for my children.
Bérénice by De Rerum Natura, held double: 8 to 14 balls, or 1500 to 2940 m in total for both strands depending on the size. Gauge in cables: 22 stitches and 28 rows = 10 cm. Shown in size 4, in colorway Chocolat Chaud.
