Esbintz

Esbintz is a cardigan named after a discreet hamlet in the Ariège Pyrenees, nestled between hills and quiet paths. A place of passage, of calm and simplicity, where time seems to slow down. This is the atmosphere the design sets out to evoke: a reassuring piece you slip on naturally, without thinking, and keep for a long time.

About Esbintz

Its raglan construction and round neckline recall the ease of well-thought-out garments, the ones that move with the body without constraining it. On each side of the button band, the cables draw a subtle vertical line, like paths running alongside a road or dry-stone walls punctuating the landscape.

Knit in fingering weight, in Bulbe Bizarre’s Sock Extrafine base, Esbintz is a mid-season cardigan, light yet present, perfect for cool mornings and long evenings. Its soft, even fabric brings out the details without ostentation, much like those places you discover almost by chance and that stay with you.

Esbintz is an invitation to slow down, to choose simple, well-judged pieces, made to go through the seasons and take root in everyday life.

Bulbe Bizarre “Sock Extrafine”: 3 to 6 skeins, or 930 to 2245 yd ; 850 to 2050 m depending on the size. US 4 ; 3.5 mm needles, and one size smaller for the bands. Shown in size 4, in colorway “Café Crême”.
